The Belém Tower, located on the right bank of the Tagus River in Lisbon, is a unique architectural symbol of the Portuguese Age of Discovery. Built between 1514 and 1520 during the reign of King Manuel I, the tower combines medieval and Renaissance elements in an impressive example of the Manueline style.
